I usually use Apple or Cherry to smoke my turkeys. This year my wife bought these chips and I was amazed at the volume of smoke they developed. They also lasted for a longer time due to their size. The result was quite amazing. My suggestion is to not apply a great amount of smoke for too long as it may become overwhelming. I plan to get some more and do some ribs and pork butt. Good oak taste.
